2 Stroke Dirt Bikes:2 stroke bikes are very popular in young generation. It was designed with a high performing engine which has two main functions- one is compression and another one is combustion. The process will simply fire and flare up the spark plug for each uprising of the crankshaft. This is very useful and makes the bike’s lightweight than other heavy bikes. The maintenance of 2 stroke bikes is higher than 4 stroke bikes. The parts of the 2 stroke bikes are very cheaper and easily available in the market. The engine of these 2 stroke bikes is fast and light. You can start them with a light and simple kick. The quality of light weight will make it faster with the punch per cc. These bikes are a bit difficult to start and control.
4 Stroke Dirt Bikes:These bikes are very high in the sale due to its four functions like intake, compression, combustion, and exhaust. They have two more functions than 2 stroke bikes. It will take two upheavals to fire the crankshaft. These fires give a firmer and possible power delivery. The 4 stroke power engine also has a smooth powerband that makes these bikes easy to ride. These bikes are perfect for beginners or newbies. These bikes have the four-stroke engine which makes less effort by the rider while riding them. There are sufficient parts moving in these engines so no need to concern about brakes, clutches, and shifting. These bikes need less maintenance so they are perfect for racing. These bikes are heavier than 2 stroke bikes because of additional parts have added in them. The parts of these bikes are not easily available in the market so they are costlier to repair or change. These bikes have high speed and full control while riding. The best choice for beginners.
Two Stroke vs. Four Stroke Dirt Bikes:The common comparison between 2 stroke and 4 stroke bikes are as follows.
- Power or capacity The 4 stroke bikes are very good in motocross rather than 2 stroke bikes because they are twice the size of 2 stroke dirt bikes. But if we compare the firing strokes than 2 stroke bikes are better than 4 stroke bikes. At the initial stage when there was nothing like power valves the power delivery on strokes was very fierce. The creation of power valves made the 2 stroke bikes very competitive and high performing. Kawasaki 500 is the perfect example of this creation. The four-stroke bike also did a great job. They are capable of moving 12000 rpm that means 200 times in a second. This is astonishing and remarkable.
- Weight The 4 stroke dirt bikes are heavier than 2 strokes bikes because of additional features added to them. In 4 stroke bikes, the weight is in the center of the gravity. This is the main reason that the 4 stroke bikes are taller and heavier than 2 stroke bikes. The company Yamaha has founded this loophole and come up with a brand new bike which has changed the thinking or tenancy towards the weight of stroke bikes. WRF 450 is the perfect example of Yamaha’s manufacturing and engineering innovation.
- Maintenance and handling The handling of the bikes is not the same for every biker. Many riders ride the bikes as the factory set them with default functionality. The manufacturer allows the riders to set the sag, rebound, and compression. When it comes to the handling or maintenance then the bikes with lightweight comes on the top positions. The 2 stroke bikes are very easy to handle line 300 cc 2 stroke bikes. The strokes are quick, push less, and easily control have prevailed in 2 stroke bikes. But when you have to ride in extreme then choose 4 stroke bikes because they have excellent power delivery.
- Easy to ride The 2 stroke bikes are light in weight and easy to ride but when you have to ride in trail then the 4 stroke bikes are the best choice. If you are going for the long run then choose 4 stroke bikes. These bikes also consume less oil. So you need not to go to a petrol pump at every visit. Both of the 2 stroke or 4 stroke engines eat less oil.
